Sessions

Each child who participates will go through a 12-week program, attending a 90-minute session once a week. The sessions are tailored by a one-on-one mentor who is assigned to the child. There are many different activities available to be used in each session, such as horse-related activities, tending to other animals like chickens, arts & crafts, games and gardening. However, 30 minutes of each session will be given to do a variety of chores that will give back to the ranch in order to show the children that they are needed in order for the Ranch to succeed.

All activities are weather-dependent and are chosen at the discretion of the session leader. Because we will have activities that can be done inside, we will not cancel sessions due to weather. In order to spend time with our horses or enter into any paddocks with livestock, closed-toed shoes will be required (Crocs & other slip-on shoes without a heel are not acceptable). We will also recommend wearing long pants, and for each person to bring a water bottle, layers of warmer clothing, and a snack.

Please note: Agape Ranch will require that a parent/legal guardian remains on-site for the duration of their child's session.
